Our Coronavirus Booking Guarantee
If you are impacted by any of the following circumstances, you will be able to move your booking to future dates or receive a refund.
1. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO TRAVEL DUE TO GOVERNMENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
If the postcode to which your booking is registered is subject to a Government restriction that prevents you from travelling to The Yurt Sanctuary. In keeping with current Government guidelines, we suggest that new bookers purchase for themselves and those in their household only so that their booking is registered to their home address.
2. IF THERE IS A GOVERNMENT LOCKDOWN
If we or you are in lockdown which does not permit leaving home for travel or holidays (as ruled by the Government), you will be offered a full refund or change of dates.
3. IF YOU TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
If you or any of your group test positive for COVID-19 and your isolation period overlaps with your trip to The Yurt Sanctuary.
4. IF YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ISOLATE BY NHS TEST & TRACE
If you or any of your group is contacted by NHS Test & Trace and is told to isolate for a period that overlaps with your trip to The Yurt Sanctuary in 2021/2022.
Please note: Proof of positive test or test and trace requirement will be required for a date change or cancellation.

Our Terms & Conditions
- A contract between you and The Yurt Sanctuary (“the owner”) will come into existence when deposit payment is received, and a booking confirmation is issued showing the confirmed holiday dates. The contract binds you & all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms & conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract & loss of the booking.
- A 25% Non-refundable deposit is required at booking. The full balance of the holiday is payable at least 8 weeks before arrival.
- All cancellations/changes must be notified in writing to [email protected]. If you cancel your holiday more than 8 weeks before it is due to start, then you will be refunded in full, less the 25% non-refundable deposit. If you cancel between 8 and 4 weeks before the arrival date, you will receive a refund 50% refund (minus the deposit). If less than 4 weeks before the holiday start date, we will attempt to resell your holiday and if successful, then you will receive a 50% refund (minus the deposit) once the new booking payment has been received in full. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your holiday start date, the full balance remains due and is not refundable.
- If you need to cancel your stay due to someone in the party having a positive Covid test within two weeks of your arrival, you can choose either a refund (minus the 25% deposit) or request alternative dates (to be taken within 12 months). Proof of the positive Covid test will be required.
- If you would like to change the dates of your holiday for other reasons (Non Covid-related) we will offer alternative dates, with no charge (providing we have at least 8 weeks’ notice). If you need to change the dates a second time (with 8 or more weeks’ notice), there will be a £35 admin fee. If you wish to change your dates with less than 8 weeks’ notice (for Non-Covid-related reasons), an alternative will be offered upon a £35 admin fee being received and subject to the original dates being successfully resold
- We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations. If you choose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation.
- Your booking will not be cancelled by the owner except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
- No parties or events (unless agreed in advance) are allowed – the maximum number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed the agreed number of persons in each yurt and only those listed on the booking form can occupy the property. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition.
- Any additional visitors to The Yurt Sanctuary (other than paying guests) must complete a Covid Safe Declaration before entering the yurt area. Visiting guests are allowed entirely at our discretion and must not be on site after 6pm. Please respect the other yurt guests and keep noise to a minimum.
- Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under twenty one years of age.
- The owner reserves the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
- We or our representatives reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
- Occupancies normally commence on Mondays, Wednesdaysor Fridays (from 4pm, unless otherwise agreed) and guests are required to vacate the site at 9.30am on the day of departure. This allows the accommodation to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests.
- Vaping or smoking anywhere inside the yurts or wooden buildings will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. This must be strictly adhered to, and any damage or extra cleaning caused by smoking will be at the expense of you. If you are smoking outside, please ensure all butts go into the firepit.
- Dogs are welcome in Wildwood Yurt. Please notify us at booking if you are bringing a dog(s). There is a one-off £20 cleaning fee for bringing dogs, which is due upon departure.
- Please clear up after your dog.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs at all times and for disposing of the bags in the allocated dog waste bin. - In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you, pets or any member of your party (or guests) and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result.
- Damages and breakages – please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. If you notice something is missing or damaged in your accommodation, please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them promptly, especially before check-out. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday & you may be charged for any loss or damage.
- Please do not move any furniture from one yurt to another.
- Please remove shoes before entering the yurts.
- Please lock the yurt door and secure your possessions before leaving the yurt site. The owners are not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or valuables of the guest and all belongings are left in the barn are at the owner’s risk.
- Please make sure you leave no trace – we are an eco-friendly set up and wish to keep the site in good order.
- Please use the bins & recycling bags provided.
- The owner reserves the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the yurt in an unacceptable condition.
- The client may in no circumstance re-let or sublet the yurt, even free of charge.
- The owner shall not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance on site.
- No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of mains water.
- Please park your vehicles in the designated parking spaces, and do not drive into the yurt gardens.
- Please respect the sanctuary and neighbouring properties by keeping noise levels to a minimum, especially between 10 pm and 8 am.
- We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking (or their guests) may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of others.
- We provide a firepit for each yurt, to use for cooking or heat. Guests must appoint a competent individual, who isn't under the influence of alcohol or drugs, to be responsible for the safe use and extinguishing of the fire or stove. Fire extinguishers are available in each yurt kitchen to use in the event of an emergency.
- Guests must not move the firepit once it is put in place and lit.
- Any problem or complaint which the client may have regarding their holiday, must be immediately reported directly to us/our representatives and we will endeavour to put matters right. Any complaints not reported to us at the time and only reported after the client has returned from holiday will not be considered by the proprietor.
- Should we deem the yurts unsafe to occupy due to extreme winds (exceeding 70mph) we will notify all glampers of site closure and offer full refunds for the affected period. We have a wind management plan for the site & will review weather conditions daily, in regards to our guests’ safety. If guests are required to vacate, we will assist in finding suitable local accommodation
- We advise that you come prepared for all weathers.
- We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
- This property is privately owned. We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own land.
