Facilities at The Yurt Sanctuary

We have two beautiful 18ft yurts, hand made here in Somerset (www.avalonyurts.co.uk). They are each set in a private, enclosed garden and have their own shower, toilet, kitchen and wood fired hot tub.
The two yurts are at either end of a two-acre field, with plenty of trees between them. They are completely private, with individual tracks leading to them and tall hazel fencing around them, so even if both yurts are occupied, you won’t see any other guests from your garden.

“Wildwood” has a double bed, small double sofa bed and a single chair/bed so it is suitable for couples and up to three children. It has plenty of outside space and is dog friendly.

“Little Oak” has a king sized wooden bed, a single chair/bed and a pull out mattress so is good for couples with up to two children. Part of the private garden is a Japanese-inspired relaxation area with acacia loungers, an oak swing and Canadian cedar wood hot tub.

A wood fired pizza oven can be hired
Guests can stretch their legs in our secure two acre paddock and there is also a stable with electricity points for charging your phones, etc. There is good 4G reception but no WiFi.
In the stable you will find a microwave oven and your own personal fridge/freezer.

What you need to bring...
  • Slippers/flipflops (no outside shoes inside the yurt!)
  • Swim suit for hot tub
  • Plenty of tealights for lanterns
  • Head torches
  • Wellies (just in case!)

If you have dogs, please bring bed, crate or suitable coverings if they are accustomed to going on furniture, plus towels for muddy feet.
